Why use an app if it's between friends?

Because it's precisely between friends that things go wrong — not out of bad faith, but because nothing was written down. Three months later, nobody remembers whether re-entries were included, whether it was gross or net, which events were in the package, when the period ended, or how makeup and currency were handled. paktPot doesn't replace trust: it writes down what you agreed on, while you still remember it. It's a memory problem, not a trust problem.

Is this legally binding?

paktPot generates a timestamped, cryptographically signed PDF that records the full terms every signatory agreed to. It is strong evidence of intent. We are not lawyers — consult one for jurisdiction-specific advice.

What happens if a participant doesn't sign?

The deal stays in "Pending" status until every signature is in, and expires after the deadline you set (1–180 days). No signatures, no binding agreement.

Can I modify a deal after signing?

No. Once all participants have signed, the deal is locked and the PDF fingerprint is final. You can request early termination or mutual closure through the deal lifecycle.

Is it free?

Yes, for now. We plan to introduce a Series Pass for heavy users. Basic deals will always be free.

What if there's a dispute?

Any participant can flag the deal as disputed. paktPot is not an arbitrator — the signed PDF is your off-platform evidence to take to a TO, a poker room, or a mediator.
